A Central Florida Lyft driver, upset at having his car door slammed, twice shot one of his passengers after demanding the man exit the vehicle, according to investigators from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
The dispute happened around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, on Spring Villas Circle near Orlando, and a second passenger escaped unharmed, the sheriff’s office reported in an affidavit.
The two passengers are brothers, and the shots were fired after they got into an argument with their Lyft driver, identified as 33-year-old Rolando Andres Rivera-Castillas of Melbourne, officials said.
