PEABODY, Mass. —
A Danvers man allegedly led Peabody police on a high-speed chase that ended with him nearly crashing into a resident's garage on Friday.
Timothy Crane, 31, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, failure to stop for police, operating to endanger, and leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury.
According to police, officers received a Flock Camera alert that a stolen car was traveling on Lynn Street toward Washington Street.
Flock's system uses automatic license plate readers to identify vehicles linked to criminal investigations.
Responding officers tried stopping the car, but the driver, later identified as Crane, turned around and fled at a high rate of speed, according to investigators.
