GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Sculptor Benjamin Victor is creating a tribute to honor the living heritage and cultural presence of the Pawnee people at the Stuhr Museum.
Victor describes his ability to create spectacular pieces of art as “a gift from God.” Spectators were able to get a glimpse into his craft during a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity at the Stuhr Museum.
The sculpture was commissioned by the Stuhr Museum Foundation and funded by the Wilson Family. Victor has handcrafted sculptures ranging from wildlife and fighter pilots to Native Americans that are located all over the world. He is the only artist with four sculptures in the U.S. Capitol National Statuary Hall Collection.
The live audience has made this experience more special for both visitors and Victor.
