RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A recycling drop-off and compost site at Stratford Hills Shopping Center in Richmond is set to relocate next week following a permanent closure.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 27, the Stratford Hills drop-off site will close permanently, according to the city's Department of Public Works. Residents looking to drop off recyclable materials and compost items can use the new location at 7400 Forest Hill Ave — next to Richmond Fire Station 24 — starting Tuesday, Oct. 28.
The new city-owned site will provide more space for drop-offs, improve traffic flow and enhance safety for residents using the site, the release said.
There will be signage at both locations to assist residents with the transition.
