ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Housing affordability is the top issue in metro Atlanta, followed by traffic woes and safety concerns, according to new survey results by the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC).

ARC released its annual Atlanta Speaks Survey , where it polled 4,121 adults across 11 metro Atlanta counties and the City of Atlanta.

“I feel like there’s a loaded question. There are so many big issues. Traffic is definitely one of them, if we’re talking about Atlanta. Housing is a huge one,” said Alexia Lewis, an Atlanta resident.

Interestingly, 62% of respondents said they would not be able to afford another house or apartment in their current neighborhood.

“Stop building these luxury apartments that nobody is asking for. Let’s maybe work on the property taxes,” Lewis sa
