Asserting that Bihar is still a “poor” state despite the 20 years of rule by the JD(U)-led NDA, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Friday claimed that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will not continue in the post if the ruling alliance is again voted to power.

Tejashwi, the chief ministerial candidate of the INDIA bloc, also said the alliance would announce one more Deputy CM face in the coming days. This came a day after the INDIA bloc unveiled VIP chief Mukesh Sahani , who is from the EBC Mallah community, as a Deputy CM face. Tejashwi said the new name would be from a different community.

Tejashwi also alleged that Kumar has been hijacked by the BJP , and two people from Gujarat — ostensibly referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah — are “controlling”
