VERMILION PARISH, LA. (KLFY) -- Eight-year-old Allori Eurigues from Forked Island East Broussard Elementary was surprised with a trip to Disney World by the Dreams Come True of Louisiana organization.
Allori, who was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy at birth, received the surprise as a birthday gift. Her family had kept the trip a secret until the big reveal, which was organized by the nonprofit Dreams Come True of Louisiana.
"She is a very tough girl, she deals with a lot, and she is very strong. And now she gets her dream come true from Dreams Come True," said Crystal Eurigues, Allori's mother.
Spinal muscular atrophy is a rare neuromuscular disorder that results in the loss of motor neurons and progressive muscle wasting, affecting Allori's muscular abilities in her face.
