CANTON – Going up against a familiar foe that came in undefeated, Blue Hills had to use all of its toughness in the final quarter to come away with a victory.
Thanks to a fourth down touchdown run and a couple interceptions, the Warriors ended the bid for an undefeated regular season for Tri-County with a 14-7 Mayflower Athletic Conference win at home Friday night.
“Our number one goal is to win the Mayflower,” said coach Ed Madden about the importance of the win. “It’s a very competitive league and we respect all the teams in the league. … It was a huge, huge game. It feels really good.”
With under a minute left, it was senior Tyson Kimbrough-Farmer who came away with his second pick in three plays as Blue Hills (4-3) kneeled the ball to end the comeback bid for the Cougars.
