NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Parents in the North Little Rock School District are speaking out after seeing a letter sent by administration on Tuesday directing teachers to remove or "hide" LGBTQ-related books on the reading platform called Epic.
One woman in North Little Rock said, although she doesn't like the idea of censorship, she believes this is important enough to censor.
She said it's because of these kinds of materials that are available that her grandchildren are homeschooled and will stay that way.
The letter states some reading materials on the Epic platform "May not align with the diverse belief systems" of district families.
It instructs staff to block or hide titles, some include "Pride Puppy," "The Mother of a Movement," and "Jacob's Room to Choose."
