ENGLEWOOD, Fla. ( WWSB ) - The results of a study of the parking situation in Englewood should surprise no one -- the city could use more parking as season ramps up.
The study, done by engineering consultants Kimley Horn, says there were 1,173 parking spaces across 57 parking locations within the study area. Of those spaces, 575 spaces are public. “It is estimated that the additional number of parking spaces needed to meet the anticipated demand within the study area is 82 spaces,” the study said.
The study recognizes that as Englewood continues to grow, effective management of parking resources is critical for the economy.
