The World Series gets under way, and despite the Blue Jays having home-field advantage, and a better regular season record than the Dodger, they feel very much the underdogs. Perhaps it’s the way Los Angeles has steam-rollered the opposition this year on their way to this point. The Dodgers’ pitching staff have a 2.45 ERA this post-season. That’s almost two runs better than the Blue Jays, and so far, is the best by any NL pennant winner for 24 years. Which, if you do the math, means since the 2001 D-backs had a 2.40 ERA over their 17 games. Hopefully the Blue Jays can put a bit of a dent in that number tonight, by “poutine” on a show for their home fans…
