MINOT, ND (KXNET) — In 1964, one brother from a small town in rural North Dakota enlisted in the Army. Little did he know the type of influence that would have on the rest of his family.

In today's Veteran's Voices, KX News sat down with four of the five Thueringer brothers, who all served during the Vietnam War.

In the quiet town of Plaza, Stephen, Allen, James, and Terry Thueringer came together to share a similar experience, serving in the Vietnam War, yet each brother has a very different story.

Thomas, the oldest brother, who wasn't able to join them because of medical reasons enlisted in 1964 and served 13 months in Vietnam. James quickly followed in his brother's footsteps enlisting in 1965 and served as a helicopter mechanic.
