The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast dry weather over most parts of Bengal on Saturday, but warned of a low-pressure area forming over the southeast Bay of Bengal and the south Andaman Sea, which is likely to intensify in the next few days.
According to the IMD, South Bengal districts, including Kolkata , Howrah, Hooghly, North and South 24 Parganas, Purba and Paschim Medinipur, Jhargram, Bankura, Purba and Paschim Bardhaman, Nadia, and Purulia, will remain mainly dry with no significant change in temperature over the next few days.
However, in North Bengal, while the weather will remain mostly dry on Saturday, light rain is likely in Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, and Kalimpong at isolated places.
