A three-year-old boy has died in the foyer of a Queensland police station after a crash south of Brisbane on Saturday morning.
Emergency services were called to Burnside Road at Ormeau just before 5am following reports of a crash.
Police said initial inquiries indicated a witness had helped a 22-year-old woman and a child who were also in the vehicle, and transported them to the Beenleigh Police Station.
"A short time later, the three-year-old child became unresponsive in the foyer of Beenleigh Police Station with officers performing CPR, however the boy died," police said in a statement.
A 24-year-old Beenleigh man, believed to have also been in the vehicle, had left the scene with a one-year-old boy before officers arrived, police said.
