The Penticton Art Gallery has announced the resignation of President Dr. Claude Roberto and board member Robert Doull. The gallery’s board thanked both for their years of service and contributions to the local arts community.
Vice President Leslie Whatmough has been appointed Interim President, a move the board says is intended to ensure continuity during the transition, the gallery said in a Friday press release.
Whatmough, who joined the board in May 2025, was born and raised in Ontario and comes from a family involved in the arts. Her father was an architect and sculptor, and her mother a potter and painter. She holds a degree in English with a minor in Art History from McMaster University, where she was named to the Dean’s Honour List.
