JAMESTOWN, N.D. — The Class B girls cross country world in North Dakota has officially been put on notice by Hillsboro/Central Valley.
The future appears extremely bright for the Burros, who placed three middle schoolers in the Top 7 during Friday’s state meet at Parkhurst Campground/Pipestem Reservoir en route to their second straight team championship.
The H/CV charge was led by eighth-grader Claire Grinde, who also for the second year in a row took home the individual title with a winning run of 18 minutes, 29.2 seconds.
Mother Nature didn’t pose a challenge for Grinde as much as her competition did, with minimal wind gusts and near picture-perfect skies that saw temperatures reach the low 60s.
