MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A man is now facing federal charges after a Memphis Safe Task Force pursuit ended in a crash in the Nutbush area around noon Thursday. Arrest documents also reveal that a five-year-old was in the car when it flipped.
Luis Gonzalez, 28, is charged with aggravated assault on a first responder, two counts of evading arrest, reckless endangerment in a vehicle, falsifying auto plates, driving with a suspended license, financial responsibility, leaving the scene of an accident, meth possession, and fentanyl possession with the intent to distribute.
Gonzalez is being held at the Shelby County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
A spokesperson for the U.S. Marshals Service says that at 11:38 a.m. Thursday, task force officers attempted to pull over a black Toyota in the area of Macon
