DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — A pair of homeowners were displaced after an early morning fire that happened in Decatur on Friday.
Decatur Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched to the 600 block of 14th Ave SW for a possible house fire around 4:49 a.m.
When firefighters made it the scene, they saw smoke coming from the edge of the roof. According to Decatur Fire & Rescue, crews quickly went into the home and extinguished the fire, which was contained to a bedroom.
DFR told News 19 that both homeowners made it out of the home uninjured. The Red Cross was notified and is currently assisting the homeowners.
