A line of thunderstorms is developing out west of the Houston area Friday night.
This line of storms is forecasted to move east overnight, reaching the Houston area sometime early Saturday morning.
We are expecting this line to be entering the Houston area sometime between 4-7 a.m. Saturday morning.
Some of these storms could be strong to severe. The potential exists for damaging winds, large hail, as well as the outside chance of an isolated tornado. Heavy rainfall will also be an issue, so there could be instances of flash flooding.
This first round of storms should be exiting the area between 8-10 a.m. We will see a period of quiet weather for the afternoon before potentially another round of strong storms moves through Saturday evening.
