LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Officials say two people were displaced after a fire damaged a home in east Louisville Friday night.

Anchorage Middletown Fire and St. Matthews Fire responded to the 3100 block of Stonebridge Road around 8 p.m. That is near Tom Sawyer Park.

Crews arrived on the scene within five minutes and discovered a two-story home with fire coming through the roof. They were able to make their way inside and contain the fire.

Officials said two people had made it out of the home with no injuries before crews arrived.

Due to the damage caused by the fire, the residents will be staying with neighbors.

It took 30 firefighters 48 minutes to get the fire fully under control. No firefighters were injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
