Imphal, October 24 2025: Security forces arrested a cadre of United Kuki National Army (UKNA) for involvement in extortion and collection of funds from the town area of Churachandpur today.

The cadre has been identified as Haominthang Haokip (18) of Old Gelmoul under Churachandpur police station.

He was arrested from his residence along with one pistol with two live rounds.

Security forces also arrested a cadre of RPF/PLA, Samjetsabam Sanjit (42) alias Inaobi alias Nongshaba of Sangaithel Makha Lekai; a cadre of PREPAK (PRO), Moirangthem Dina Meitei alias Ngakpa (32) of Wangoo Chairen Khongnang Leikai currently residing at Brahmapur Bamon Leikai and a cadre of KCP (Taibanganba), one Salam Sushil (23) of Kakching Wairi Bamon Pareng today, said a bulletin of Police Control Room.
