GRAND FORKS — Grand Forks Central quarterback Brody Leddige was told at the beginning of the week that he’d be getting the start against Red River.

The sophomore had been splitting snaps with senior Noah Lease throughout the season. However, with Lease becoming a strong contributor in the defensive backfield, the Knights decided to stick with Leddigie throughout Friday night’s game against the Roughrdiers.

“The first drive, we went three-and-out,” Leddige said. “I was feeling (the nerves) a little bit, but settled in a little bit and then we were good after that.”

Leddige guided Central to a resounding 44-20 victory over Red River, finishing with 281 passing yards, three passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown
