The parents of Jashanpreet Singh, a truck driver who was involved in a gruesome eight-vehicle crash in Ontario in California, US, that left three persons dead and four injured, have claimed that their son was a baptised Sikh and in no way involved in intoxicants. The family has appealed to the Akal Takht and the SGPC to take up the issue with the US government.
Jashanpreet (21) is a native of the sleepy town of Puranashala, 8 km from Gurdaspur, on the Mukerian road. He has been arrested under charges of “gross vehicular manslaughter, using drugs while driving and causing bodily injury”.
