SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The Notre Dame men’s basketball team lost to DePaul 69-62 in its final preseason exhibition on Friday night at Purcell Pavilion.
The Irish got off to a rough start, falling into a 13-point deficit. They fought back to take a second-half lead and make it a one-possession game with under a minute, but the Blue Demons ultimately prevailed.
Sir Mohammed scored a team-best 15 points to lead the Irish. Markus Burton also reached double figures with 10 points, including a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line.
Notre Dame opens the regular season at home on Monday, Nov. 3, against LIU Brooklyn. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. on ACCNX.
