Saturday Bank Holiday : After an extended round of festive holidays for Diwali celebrations across several states, many customers are wondering whether banks will be open this Saturday. The question arises as people prepare to complete pending financial tasks such as deposits, withdrawals and cheque clearances after a busy festive week. According to the Reserve Bank of India ( RBI ) calendar, banks will remain closed today, October 25, 2025, as it marks the fourth Saturday of the month. Under RBI rules, banks in India remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Apart from these days, banks also remain closed on Sundays and regional or national holidays as declared by the RBI in its annual holiday list.
