NEW BOSTON, Texas (KETK)--As the regular season nears an end, the Hooks Hornets continue to make a push for a spot in the playoffs following a win over the New Boston Lions on Friday evening.

FINAL SCORE: Hooks 18- New Boston 14

Following the win, the Hornets advance to 5-3 and will look to pick up their second win in a row next Friday on the road against the Redwater Dragons.

Meanwhile, following the loss, the Lions fall to 5-3 and will look to bounce back next Friday on the road against the Hughes Springs Mustangs, who are currently 3-5.
