HENRIETTA TWP, Ohio – Columbia bounced back from its first loss of the season in emphatic fashion Friday night, defeating Firelands 42-15 to secure the outright Lorain County League championship and a first-round playoff bye.
The Raiders’ offense was unstoppable, scoring touchdowns on six consecutive possessions after a game-opening statement drive that covered 98 yards in just six plays. Pinned at their own 2-yard line following a Firelands punt, Columbia immediately responded when Xavier Hendon broke free for a 37-yard run, and quarterback Wesley Sanders finished the drive with a 7-yard touchdown run.
