MEDINA, Ohio — Highland football defeated Cuyahoga Falls, 68-0, in a regular season finale Friday night at Highland High School. It’s the fifth straight year that the Hornets have won at least 10 games, including the playoffs.

“It feels good to end the regular season on a high note,” said Highland head coach Mike Gibbons. “I think we’re always working to be better, but I like where we’re at. I think we have a really talented group and we’re excited to get to the playoffs.”

Grady Gibb scored a 17-yard rushing touchdown with nine minutes remaining in the first quarter and followed that up with a 16-yard pass to Lucas Gerding to start the scoring for the Hornets. Jonah Kowza kicked a 25-yard field goal and Casey Myser added a 3-yard rushing touchdown.
