Sunbury's student mayor for a day hard on traffic scofflaws, encourages officers take breaks

SUNBURY — Shaylene Shambach’s tenure as the first female mayor in Sunbury history was a short but productive one.

The 12-year-old Shikellamy Middle School sixth grader who is battling cancer, was appointed to the post for a day Friday by Mayor Josh Brosious.
