NEW DELHI: BJP leader Vivekanand Prasad, also known as Bablu Yadav, was shot on Friday in Bhagalpur amid the Bihar assembly elections. The attack occurred at TNB Law College Lane, under the jurisdiction of Barari police station, Bhagalpur DSP Ajay Kumar Chaudhary confirmed. Residents reported that the BJP leader was taking a walk outside his house when Surjikhil resident Suraj Tanti, accompanied by his associates, allegedly fired two rounds at him. Bablu Yadav sustained serious injuries in the attack. Following the incident, locals rushed Yadav to Mayaganj Hospital, where a team of doctors is currently treating him.
