Tom Aspinall's bad luck continues. UFC 321 was meant to mend a long period of inactivity for the new undisputed heavyweight champion. Instead, an accidental eye poke brought Saturday's main event with Ciryl Gane to a frustrating end.

Aspinall, who graduated to undisputed champion after Jon Jones vacated the title in June, was looking forward to an active title reign after being benched for most of the last two years. On Saturday, things got off to a rough start and only got worse. Challenger Gane overdelivered as an underdog, getting the better of Aspinall in the first round. Aspinall never got the chance to get going after an errant eye poke in the final 30 seconds rendered Aspinall unable to compete, leading to a no contest.
