India crushed Australia by nine wickets in the third and final ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground on October 25, 2025.

Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten on 121 off 125 balls, while Virat Kohli scored 74* off 81, guiding India to a comfortable chase of 237.

Australia, after winning the toss for the third time in the series, chose to bat first. Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head gave them a solid start with a 61-run opening stand. At 183/3 in the 34th over, they looked set for a 300+ total. However, a sudden collapse saw them bowled out for 236. Matt Renshaw top-scored with 56.
