SRINAGAR : A joint team of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and local police on Saturday resumed a search operation for the second consecutive day in the Kishanganga River at Teetwal area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district to trace the body of a man who had reportedly jumped into the river on Friday. The missing individual has been identified as Alam Din, son of Nizam-ud-Din, a resident of Seemari Phagwan in Kupwara.

According to officials, Alam Din allegedly jumped into the Kishanganga River on October 24 under mysterious circumstances, prompting an immediate rescue operation by police and SDRF personnel.

Despite relentless efforts by the rescue teams on Friday, the strong current of the river hampered the operation. T
