Workers across Britain have been issued an urgent warning as a significant tax shake-up takes effect next year.

HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has cautioned that "tax is changing" come April 2026.

The alteration impacts self-employed individuals and landlords earning more than £50,000 annually.

They will be required to submit online updates every three months instead of completing everything during tax return season.
