A well loved city centre restaurant has left their customers gutted after announcing their impending closure.

Scran Newtown , on North Bridge, expressed their disappointment as they addressed their followers on social media, citing the plans to close have been made with a 'heavy heart.'

The business shared a myriad of issues they have had to contend with during their four years of operating, including rising costs and the shrinking of household budgets.

Scran also said that sustaining their 'dream' has become 'increasingly difficult' due to higher taxes and the ongoing roadworks on North Bridge.
