BSF seizes nearly 5 kg of heroin in drone-linked smuggling on Punjab Border

Ferozepur, October 25, 2025: In a series of successful operations over the past 24 hours, alert Border Security Force (BSF) troops recovered a total of 4.898 kg (gross weight) of heroin from areas along the Amritsar and Ferozepur borders.

In an intelligence-based joint operation conducted yesterday, BSF personnel, in coordination with the Punjab Police, recovered six packets of heroin weighing 3.248 kg from farmland near village Jalloke in Ferozepur district. The packets, wrapped in yellow adhesive tape, indicated that the consignment had been dropped by a drone from across the border.
