Mandla: A viral social media video showing schoolgirls in uniform purchasing liquor at a shop in Nainpur, Mandla district, has triggered a massive departmental crackdown. Following the immediate instructions of the District Collector, SDM Ashutosh Thakur rushed to the scene to conduct an inspection.

The SDM’s preliminary review of the shop’s CCTV footage confirmed that the store operator sold alcohol to the minor students. SDM Thakur explicitly stated that vending intoxicants to minors is a severe violation of the liquor license terms and is wholly unacceptable. He has directed the Excise Department to launch a swift and rigorous investigation and initiate necessary punitive action.
