Madiyadoh/Damoh – Police have achieved a major breakthrough, arresting an awarded killer—husband of the victim—within 72 hours of the brutal murder of his wife, Chandabai. The accused, Somu alias Somsingh Gond (40) of Binnai Banda, had a ₹5,000 reward declared by Superintendent of Police Shruti Kirti Somvanshi for his apprehension.

The chilling crime occurred on October 22, 2025, following a domestic dispute in which the accused allegedly used an iron pickaxe (gaiti) to murder his wife before fleeing the scene, causing a sensation in the region.
