NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Pelicans dropped a hard-fought game in overtime to Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs defeated the Pelicans, 120-116.

The Pels had three players score more than 20 points. Zion Williamson led the way for the Pelicans, putting up 27 points in 37 minutes of action. Trey Murphy added 24 points in 46 minutes. Jordan Poole dropped 21 points in his home debut with the Pelicans.

The Pelicans (0-2) host the Boston Celtics on Monday (Oct. 27) at the Smoothie King Center. Game coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. on the Gulf Coast Sports and Entertainment Network.
