Chadds Ford Supervisor Samantha Reiner has been ordered by the Pennsylvania Ethics Commission to pay $12,491 she received as a “consultant” while performing her regular duties.

The commission found Reiner violated two provisions of the Ethics Act related to conflicts of interest and for receiving a contract worth more than $500 in a process that was not open to the public.

Reiner is one of three elected supervisors for the township on the western edge of Delaware County, and has a total population of fewer than 1,500 people.

She has been twice elected to six-year terms, first in 2015 as a Republican and again in 2021 as a Democrat, both times running unopposed.

Township Manager Lacey Faber said she had no comment when reached by phone Friday, but that she would see if there was any off
