LAC SEUL – The Lac Seul Police Service issued a letter to members of the community, stating the rollout of body-worn cameras for all uniformed officers is in progress.
The letter came from Lorraine Kejick, board chair of the Lac Seul Police Service, who said the service is committed to maintaining trust, transparency, and accountability within the community.
The use of body cameras will help enhance community safety, ensure accurate documentation, and support fair and respectful police practices.
The devices will record interactions between officers and the public, and assist with investigations, training, and public confidence within the service, the letter said.
The letter also assured members of the community that privacy and cultural sensitivity will remain as top priorities.
