LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - One person was killed and another injured in an incident on Texas Street early Saturday morning, according to police.

Deputy Chief Kevin Kirkum, Lake Charles police spokesman, said police responding to a disturbance around 3:23 a.m. found one person dead and another in need of medical attention.

The incident in the 3800 block of Texas Street is being worked as a homicide, he said.

Kirkum asked anyone who has information about this incident to call the Lake Charles Police Department or anonymously leave a tip on Lake Charles PD app.
