Cracking down hard on the attackers on officer in charge of Bankar police station in Belonia subdivision last night the police today have arrested altogether seven persons affiliated with the Oriental Club including the secretary of the club. Those arrested include the secretary of the club Alak Banik, ‘Durga Puja’ committee secretary Bijay Biswas, ‘Durga Puja’ committee president Sribas Sen and club members Subrata Debnath, Liton Debnath, Aditya Debnath and Liton Hazari. All the arrested persons will be produced in court for police remand for interrogation.
