PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two Pacific Northwest destinations have been recognized among the best places for Halloween enthusiasts to live.
Zillow’s list of the 13 most “boo-tiful towns” featured St. Helens at No. 5.
“This charming riverside town embraces its starring role in Disney's ‘Halloweentown’ with a monthlong Spirit of Halloweentown festival,” the real estate marketplace said. “Beyond October, residents appreciate the scenic setting, small-town feel and proximity to Portland.”
The annual festival honors the 1998 movie with haunted houses, costume contests, a pumpkin lighting, visits from “Halloweentown” stars, along with actors from other films like “Twilight,” and more.
According to Zillow, those who want to experience St. Helens year-round would see a typical home value of $426,
