Heritage Hills opened its quest for a Class 4A state championship with a 56-7 win over Washington in Sectional 24 first round action at Hatchet Hollow on Friday.

Fourth-ranked Heritage Hills (9-1) broke on top early, getting a 22-yard scoring run from Dalton Pledger on the games’ opening drive, though the Patriots failed to convert the point after.
