No. 9 Kentucky beat top-ranked Purdue 78-65 in exhibition basketball action on Friday night at Rupp Arena.
Kentucky freshman Jasper Johnson scored 15 points. The Wildcats also got 10 points apiece from Trent Noah and Otega Oweh. Mo Dioubate had eight points and nine rebounds.
Kentucky led 38-30 at the half. Purdue got within 3 to open the second period, but the Cats went on a 9-1 run and never looked back.
Kentucky returns to action on Thursday, hosting Georgetown University at Rupp Arena. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. You can hear the game on 94.7 The Mix.
