While driving through Blue Springs, Missouri, a volunteer with Farm To Able came across a heartbreaking scene. A small, vulnerable puppy tied to a crate and left alone in the middle of a busy highway.

Without hesitation, she pulled over and rushed to the frightened dog’s side. She gently lifted him into her car, offering the comfort and safety he had been desperately needing.

The puppy, later named Sullivan, immediately relaxed in her arms. His fearful expression softened, as if he understood he was finally safe.

She quickly contacted Animal Control to report the situation. After Sullivan’s five-day stray hold passed without anyone coming forward to claim him, the search for a safe place began. Sadly, every nearby shelter was already overwhelmed and unable to take him in.
