A town centre unit home to four businesses in the past six years will be empty once again - as the latest occupants confirm they are closing.
Jeevan and Gloriya Coultan opened Taste of Ceylon - Ashford’s only Sri Lankan restaurant - just five months ago in the former Bank Street Cafe building.
The married couple described launching the venue in May as a “dream” - but after a “very tough” time in the town, they have decided to shut after coming to the end of their lease.
Mrs Coultan, 41, who first took on the site with her husband when it was Bank Street Cafe, told KentOnline: “After careful consideration, we’ve decided to hand the premises back to the landlord.
