REDDING, Calif. - The Shasta County Board of Supervisors is convening a special meeting on Friday to discuss a significant proposal impacting local behavioral health services. They will review a presentation opposing the "True North Behavioral Health Campus" application by Arch Collaborative.
The board may approve a letter expressing their support for the Behavioral Health Director's opposition. The letter states, "Supporting this project would obligate Shasta County's Health and Human Services Agency to provide services for 30 years without any collaboration to determine what the outcomes of the program should be... or what services are available." It emphasizes that without this information, the county is unable to assess the project's fiscal impact or long-term sustainability.
