ESPN's College GameDay was at Vanderbilt on Saturday for the No. 10 Commodores' home game against No. 15 Missouri in Week 9, and comedian Nate Bargatze returned as the guest picker.
A Vanderbilt fan from Tennessee, Bargatze briefly set aside his picking duties to attempt to play a role in the Commodores' recruiting efforts — specifically trying to flip Georgia commit Jared Curtis, a five-star quarterback recruit from Nashville, over to Vanderbilt. Curtis, who was recently at a Vanderbilt practice, is the top quarterback in the 2026 class and the No. 4 player overall nationally, per 247Sports.
"It's hard not to just remind Jared Curtis how much I would love for you to come to Vanderbilt," Bargatze said from the GameDay desk. "And we're local kids, we'll become best friends, bud."
COLLEGE GAMEDAY: Nate Bargatze basically said Oklahoma is the SEC's unfrosted Pop-Tart
Curtis committed to Georiga in May, according to 247Sports, but who knows? Maybe Bargatze's pitch will work.
